This artefact is an authentic Indian handmade Dokra craft. This Brass metal craft is protected vide Geographical Indication and is made only in this geographical location (GI No.- 563 Vide Class 6,14 & 21 Certificate number 316 dated 18/05/2018). This ancient metal craft of Dokra is handmade by the indigenous Dorka Damar tribe of India, using the ancient lost-wax technique method also called cire perdue in French (dating back to the Indus valley civilisation).
Dokra artefacts are timeless and create an antique look. A perfect decor - be it home/office and an ideal gift for any memorable occasion/festive season. The materials used are Brass metal (Copper and Zinc), wax, clay, coal and mustard oil. The entire piece of art is made from a single mould without any assembly or soldering and could take up to a month or two to be created.
